hello, everybody! my name is, i come from. today, i am very glad to stand here and share with you my most sincere speech‘flying youth, master our future!’

life is a process of growing up. saying goodbye to childhood, we step into another important time of life‘the youth’.however, who can really say what the youth is ? a period of time? a belief? an attitude to life? or anything else? we don’t know.

a famous poet said ‘ youth is a lovely song ,where nothing is impossible youth is a meaningful book, you’ll be never bored of it ;youth is a rapid river ,it keeps on flowing day and night ;youth is a cup of tea ,it shows you different kinds of tastes in your life. ’

as youth is so precious, of course, we must treasure it .don’t let the limited time pass by, leaving nothing of significance to our future. actually, youth has a lot to do with our future. it’s necessary for us to prepare ourselves well for the future to come. so, what should we do? here ,i’ll point out some tips to help equip ourselves

first of all, recognize the direction of your future. in other word, think of what you’d like to be some day. a teacher ? a doctor ? a writer? don’t afraid of thinking big and great .since you are young , you can dream of doing anything and becoming anyone in the future .

what’s more , never ignore the power of knowledge. read more books and travel around. for one thing, it can increase your knowledge, for another, it’ll broaden your horizon.

last but not the least , stick to your dream. it easier said than done. after all, future is not all roses. so, we should have enough courage and determination to overcome all the difficulties.

i firmly believe one sentence that‘if you think you can, of course you can!’just believe we can make it! keep on walking towards our dream. flying youth ,master our future. from today, from now on ,from duping middle school ! ready ? that’s all. thank you so much for your attention !

青春与梦想英语演讲稿 篇3

distinguished judges, teachers, dear friends:

hello, everyone! my name is cheng xiang yan , i am a junior student come from life science institution .today, i am very glad to stand here and share with you my most sincere speechsquo;flying youth, master our future!squo;

life is a process of growing up. saying goodbye to childhood, we step into another important time of life in the pace of young, facing new situations, dealing with different problems.....

however, who can really say what the youth is ? a period of time? a belief?an attitude to life? or anything else? actually, everyone has his ownunderstanding of young, it is a period of time of beauty and wonders, only after you have experienced the sour , sweet ,bitter and salty, can you really become a person of significance.

just like a famous poet said squo; youth is a lovely song ,where nothing is impossible ,youth is a meaningful book, yousquo;ll be never bored of it ;youth is a rapid river ,it keeps on flowing day and night ;youth is a cup of tea ,it shows you different kinds of tastes in your life.

as youth is so precious, of course, we must treasure it .donsquo;t let the limited time pass by, grasping the young will means a better time is waiting for you in the near future.

so,itsquo;s necessary for us to prepare ourselves well for the future to come. having a view on those great men in the history of hunman being, they all made full use of their youth time to do things that are useful to society, to the whole mankind, and as a consequence ,they are remembered by later generations, admired by everyone. so do something in the time of young, although you may not get achievements as these greatmen did ,though not for the whole world, just for youeself, for those around! so, what should we do when we are young? here, isquo;ll point out some tips to help equip ourselves.

first of all, think of what yousquo;d like to be some day. a teacher ? a doctor ? a writer? donsquo;t afraid of dreaming of big and great .since you are young , you can dream of doing anything and becoming anyone in the future. whatsquo;s more , never ignore the power of knowledge. read more books and travel around. for one thing, it can increase your knowledge, for another, itsquo;ll broaden your horizon.

last but not the least , stick to your dream. it easier said than done. after all, future is not all roses. young is just like blooming flowers, they are so beautiful when blooming, which make people feel happy, but with time passing by, after they withers ,most people think they are ugly. and so it is the same with young, we are enthusiastic when we are young, then we may lose our passion when getting older and older. so we should have enough courage and determination to overcome all the difficulties in struggling on the road.

i firmly believe one sentence thatsquo;if you think you can, of course you can!squo;just believe we can make it! keep on walking towards our dream. flying youth , master our future. from today, from now on , are you ready ? thatsquo;s all. thank you so much for your attention !

when we refer to ideal, we will realize the importance of ideal. ideal is the beacon,. without ideal, we will lose the firm direction. without direction, we will lose our life. according to this, every one of us should establish our own ideal .so that we have the direction of straggle to the future. tolstoy tells us, we should have the life objective from the whole life to the second. so we should cherish every moment and form our systematic objective. youth is the prime time. we have strong body and energy and can sense the meaning of life under the guide of ideal.

let us use our youth to pursue our ideal and make our future wonderful. so we will have gorgeous life.

青春与梦想英语演讲稿 篇5

no young man believes he shall ever die. there is a feeling of eternity in youth, which makes us amend for everying.to be young to be as one of the immortal gods. one half of time indeed is flown-the other half remains in store for as with all its countless treasures; for there is no line drawn, and we see no limit to our hopes and wishes. we make the coming age our own-

the vast, the unbounded prospect lies before us, including our dreams.

so i'll say:concentrate upon your dreams and they will become material actualities. through concentration we work out our dreams in physical life. your future depends upon the dreams you are forming now. your past dreams are determining your present. therefore, if you want a bright future, you must begin to prepare for it today.

we say a man is as changeable as the weather. what is meant is his dreams change. every time you change your idea you think differently. you become like a rudderless boat on an ocean. therefore realize the importance of holding to your dream until it becomes a reality .

catch the star that holds your destiny, the one that forever twinkles within your heart. take advantage of precious opporyunities while they still sparkle before you. always believe that your ultimate goal is attainable as long as you commit yourself to it.

though barriers may sometimes stand in the way of your dreams, remember that your destiny is hiding behind them. accept the fect that not everyone is goimg to approve of the choices you've made, have faith in your judgement, catch the star that twinkles in your heart, and it will lead you to your destiny's path. follow that pathway and uncover the sweet sunrises that await you.

take pride in your accomplishments, as they are stepping stones to your dreams. understand that you may make mistakes, but don't let them discourage you. value your capabilities and talents for they are what make you truly unique. the greatest gifts in life are not purchased, but acquired through hard work and determination. finding the star that twinkles in your heart for you alone are capable of making your brightest dreams come true.

so don't think that you are neglected, or not understood, or not appreciated. zsuch thoughts are the thoughts of failure.

don't pity yourself, criticise yourself. you know that the only thing in the world that you have got to count upon is yourself.

thirty college students across the country attended the tenth 2 st century cup national english eaking contest in beijing on april 0. eventually, xia peng, from nanjing university was named the champion. the second and third places went to zhang jing, a sophomore from china foreign affairs university, and zhang a xu, from hong kong polytechnic university, reectively. more than 000 college students in beijing are lucky birds to listen to the eeches on the ot in friendship hotel.

just make to it the finals, they had to get past 60 others eaking on “the impact of globalization on traditional chinese values”. that was at the semi-final on april 8-9. what will chinese college students think about the impact? each contestant had his own take on the subject. xia summed up globalization by saying: “it’s just controversial and hard to say whether it is good or bad.” xia took the old wall of his city, nanjing, as a metaphor. he oke about the conflict over whether to protect the old walls or tear them down to represent the conflict of ideas. he suggested that people protect the wall as a valuable relic while tearing down the “intangible walls” of their minds that prevent communication. while some other students are more focusing on the impact of globalization on family relations, attitudes towards love, and job-hunting.

over the past 0 years, the national english eaking competition has given contestants a chance to eak on a variety of topics closely related to their lives. chinese students become more open-minded and receive various ideas and thinking over the decade. diversity becomes more obvious on campus, students have more opportunities to express and show themselves. it’s not an easy task for the contestants to win through the fierce competition. owning to their passion, hard work and persistence, they finally succeeded in the contest.

liu xin, the first champion of the national contest, is now an anchorperson of cctv-9. recalling the passion of study on campus, she said: “when you want to express your idea by a foreign language without finding a right way, you’re really upset. then you have to encourage yourself, and after a long term of bitterness, suddenly you find you get the right way with joy.” with the champion title in 2 st century cup, liu attended the international public eaking competition in london in may 996 afterward and got the first prize historically.the winner in __ surprised the audience, since she came from accounting major instead of english major. gu qiubei, then 22 years old, was a senior in shanghai foreign studies university. while being asked whether she had some good methods to learn english, she said: “learn english with passion and enthusiasm.” attracted by the greatness of english language, gu even changed her major from accounting to english in her postgraduate study. the most important issue in english learning process she pointed out is personal interests. only people interested in english benefit a lot from the learning methods and those with passion will finally achieve their dreams.

when chief of global media giant viacom sumner redstone gave a eech in tsinghua university on his autobiography a passion to win, he was asked what made him to restart his career at the age of 60, the 8 -year-old media tycoon said: “firstly, there’s a self-driving force in my deep heart, which keeps my passion to succeed and surpass others; secondly, i don’t think i’m too old to leave work, actually i love my work very much.”

some of the contestants have achieved their dreams as redstone; still others are on the way to their dream. with a passion to win, you will overcome obstacles and succeed at the end.

i’m studying in a city that’s famous for its walls. people who visit my city are amazed at the imposing sight of its walls, eecially when silhouetted against the setting sun with gold, shining streaks. the old, cracked bricks are covered with lichens and the walls are weather-beaten guards standing still for centuries.

our ancestors liked to build walls. they built walls in beijing, xi’an, nanjing and many other cities, and they built the great wall, which snakes across half our country. they built walls to protect against enemies and evil irits. this tradition has survived to this day: we still have many parks and schools walled off from the public.

for a long time, walls were one of the most natural things in the world to me.

my perceptions, however, changed after i made a hiking trip to the eastern suburbs of my city. my classmates and i were walking with some foreign students. as we walked out of the city, we found ourselves flanked by tall trees, which formed a wide canopy above our heads. suddenly one foreign student asked me, “where is the entrance to the eastern suburbs?”

“we’re already in the eastern suburbs,” i replied. he seemed taken aback, “i thought you chinese had walls for everything.” his remark set off a heated debate. at one point, he likened our walled cities to “jails”, while i insisted that the eastern suburbs were one of the many places in china that had no walls.that debate had no winners, but i did learn a lot from this student. for instance, he told me that some major universities like oxford and cambridge were not surrounded by walls. i have to admit that we do have many walls in china, and as we develop our country, we must look carefully at them and decide whether they are physical or intangible. we will keep some walls but tear down those that impede our development.

let me give another example.

a year ago, when i was working on a term paper, i needed a book on business law and found a copy in the law school library. however, the librarian coldly rejected my request to borrow it, saying, “you can’t borrow this book, you’re not a student here.” in the end, i had to end 200 yuan to buy a copy. meanwhile, the copy in the law school gathered dust on the shelf.

at the beginning of this semester, i heard that my university had started to think of unifying its libraries and linking them to libraries at other universities, so my experience wouldn’t be repeated. barriers would be replaced by bridges. an inter-library loan system would give us access to books from any library. with globalization and china integrated into the world, i believe many of these intangible walls will be knocked down.

i know that globalization is a controversial issue, and it is hard to say whether it is good or bad. but one thing is for sure: it draws our attention to china’s tangible and intangible walls and forces us to examine their role in the modern world.

and how about the ancient walls of mine and other cities? should we tear them down? definitely not. my city, like beijing and other cities, is actually making a great effort to preserve the walls. these walls attract historians, archaeologists, and many schoolchildren who are trying to study our history and cultural heritage. walls have become bridges to our past and to the rest of the world. if the ancient builders of these walls were still alive today, they would be proud to see such great changes in the role of their walls. they are now bridges that link east and west, south and north, and all countries of the world. our cultural heritage will survive globalization.

i enter tile university after years of hardstudy and preparation. but life in the university is not as satisfactory as what i had expected.

i become lazy and dont want to study.i become silcent. i become puzzled. i dont know what i can do in the future.

then i become unhappy. four years in the university is only a short period when compared my whole lifetime.

now it has passed a half. in this year, many people ,such as my parents,my friends, ask me what i want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life.

i dont want to follow their suggestion, and i want to go my style.

so i think carefully. i have been a young volunteer for five years.its very happy and significant. then i have a dream.i want to join the university student volunteers go west programe.

i think i can be a teacher in the west.i want to try my best to help them and help me. i want to see the world cearly. now i cant reach its demand and its very diffcult, but i will work hard in the next two years. there is an old saying"where there is a will, there is a way."i think my dream can come ture.now in the university i mature, and in the university i prepare for the real world.

at last,i want to say to everybody"hlod fast to your dreams,no matter how big or small they are.the path to dreams may not be smooth and wide, even some sacrifices are needed.but hold on to the end,you can find there is no geater happiness than making your dream come ture."

青春与梦想英语演讲稿 篇8

ladies and gentlemen , good afternoon! isquo;m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is youth. i hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it. do you know what is youth? how do you master your youth?

youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals.

years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being squo;s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of whatsquo;s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart theresquo;s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

when the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

thank you!
